White Collar Charity Boxing Event

On April 7th Local Professional World Champion Boxer Fitz 'The Whip' Vanderpool hosted the first ever White Collar Charity Boxing Championship in the Tri-Cities.

We had some white collar business men getting into the boxing ring to fight after only 10 weeks of boxing training with local World Champion Fitz The Whip Vanderpool.

On April 7th the champ will be gave away 1 Free boxing membership to The Whip Boxing Academy for 1 at risk or underprivileged youth in Kitchener and 1 youth in Waterloo (between the ages of 12 - 17 years).

Charities supported by this event were:

'Giving Tuesday' and our First Free weekend of Boxing!

2nd Annual WHIPYIT Ride For Youth

(With Hope It's Possible - Youth in Transition)

The 2nd Annual WHIPYIT Ride for Youth was successfully held on Sunday Aug 28th. Dedicated to helping less advantages kids, this fund raising event sends youth to Summer Camp with a World Champ. A full 5-day program, the youngsters have fun while practicing healthy life skills with new friends in a new setting. Last year, World Champion Boxer Fitz The Whip Vanderpool and The Whip Boxing Academy helped give a leg up to 3 kids from Big Brothers and Big Sister's as well as 3 kids from Family and Children's Services.

This year and despite and unusually hot day, participants cycled from Waterloo City Hall, along a trail and finished up at Kitchener City Hall. With these raised funds, 6 kids will be able to attend the Summer Camp. Additionally, the youngsters will be provided with 4 weekend training sessions at The Whip Boxing Academy in Waterloo. Fitz sends a heartfelt thanks to all who attended and support the critical development of kids in our community.

Thank you to all riders and supporters of this inaugural ride. It was a lot of fun to see so many supporters out there having fun and supporting a great cause.

First Annual WHIPYIT Ride for Youth

On Sunday, September 13, 2015 Fitz the Whip held his first annual WHIPYIT Ride for Youth (With Hope it's Possible Youth in Transition). This ride is to raise awareness and funds, so the young people of our community have a place to channel their energy in a positive light while learning the importance of healthy choices and knowledge through education.

This ride was be led by KW's Inaugural Athlete of the Year and local World Champion Boxer Fitz The Whip. Fitz, and his gym, The Whip Boxing Academy have been heavily involved in our community for many years. Fitz has reached out to numerous organizations and continues to mentor and tutor the youth in our community.

The ride began at 11:00a.m. from Waterloo City Hall, proceeded down the Iron Horse Trail and finished at Kitchener City Hall. This ride is open for kids, youth and adults of all ages.

Kids from group homes and Family and Children Services from the Kitchener-Waterloo area have attended training and fitness classes at The Whip Boxing Academy

On Saturday May 24th, 2014 Fitz "The Whip" Vanderpool our local six time Professional Champion unveiled his non-profit charity WHIPYIT ... WITH HOPE IT'S POSSIBLE — YOUTH IN TRANSITION. Fitz will be mentoring and inspiring our Youth as they strive to reach for their dreams and never give up.

Local politicians were among those in attendance, along with Kick Boxer Joe Valtellini and Snowboard Champ Becca Ballantyne.

We thank everyone who took part in this great event to encourage and support Fitz and his charity as he continues his inspirational speaking to children in schools throughout our region.
